On Tuesday 15th May, 2018 our Noble Shaykh Dr ʿArafāt b. Ḥasan al-Muḥammadī (حفظه الله), in the final lesson of Muwahhideen Publications' webinar entitled, "O People! A Great Month Has Come Over You - an Explanation of the Book of Fasting from ‘Umdatul ‘Aḥkām," the Shaykh was asked a question regarding a recurring issue whereby every year some Muslims circulate a message on the eve of Ramaḍān saying it is from the sunnah to ask forgiveness before the month of Ramaḍān begins. The Shaykh warned against this practice, reminding us that if the the Prophet () never did it himself nor did he ever instruct his followers to do it, then there can be no good in it.

Pivotal Quote: "The sins are [still] written during the month of Ramaḍān and outside of it, so the person must fear Allāh with regards to the honour of others and if they happen to make a mistake [they should] seek forgiveness immediately."
