On Sunday 7th April 2017, after Muwahhideen Publications' weekly class in the explanation of the forty hadīth of Imām an-Nawawī with our noble brother and teacher Abū Hakīm Bilāl Davis (حفظه الله), he answered a question concerning commanding our young children with the ṣalāh. Our teacher gave a beautiful, fatherly advice in light of the hadīth of the Prophet (صلى الله عليه وسلم) where we are commanded to order our children to pray at the age of seven. He expounds on the duty of the parent to nurture the children upon the performance of this important act of worship by ordering and setting an excellent example for them as parents, as well.
From The Answer of Abū Hakīm (حفظه الله): "...there are certain acts of ibādah that the companions used to nurture their children upon, ṣalāh is one of them and we have the command to do so here. We likewise understand, and Ramaḍān is close, that the companions used to nurture their children upon fasting, even though they were not of age. They used to make the children fast, and make them get involved with the performance of this act of worship, and if they would find any difficulty then they would give them toys to play with."
Our teacher and elder Abū Hakīm continues with his beautiful, fatherly advice...
On Tuesday 30th April 2017, Muwahhideen Publications hosted a LIVE Tele-Lecture with our brother and teacher Abu 'Abdillāh Ḥasan as-Ṣomālī (حفظه الله) at Masjid 'Abdullah Ibn 'Abbaas in Tobago entitled "The Meaning of Salafiyyah and Is This A Cult." At the end of the session he answered a question posed by one the brothers regarding the doubt that one should not name themself salafī because the media and others falsely refer to ISIS and other terrorist groups as salafī. Our teacher clarified, with no ambiguity, the fallacy of the claimants to salafiyyah from the likes of ISIS and their sister organizations that seek only to mislead the people away from the true and authentic Islām. He further elaborates on how shameful that an individual will allow the media to define what is acceptable and what is not acceptable in the religion of al-Islām. Our brother Ḥasan as-Ṣomālī (حفظه الله) continues clarifying the affair...
Muwahhideen Publications is pleased to present this tremendously beneficial Ebook which is a transcription of the summarized translation of a tele-lecture with Mpubs entitled, “The Position of the Salafī Regarding the Fitnah in Aleppo and Yemen,” by Shaykh Muḥammad ibn Muḥammad ‘Akūr (حفظه الله) on Sunday 18th December, 2016. The Shaykh clarifies explicitly the position that the true salafī, the sunnī upon the understanding of the salaf us ṣalah, should have regarding this current fitnah happening in these two strategic Muslim lands. The principles that the Shaykh expounds, from the Qu'ran and Sunnah, are not only applicable for what is happening in Syria and Yemen, but are general for all places and times. This insightful lecture was an exquisite clarification on the situation that the Muslims are in today and the reasons for our weakness. The Shaykh also defined, clearly, the precise conditions for the promised victory laid out by Allāh and His Messenger (صلى الله عليه وسلم). Below is the table of contents showing the topics that the Shaykh covered:
2. Everything Happens by the Decree of Allāh.
3. The Plot of the Enemies Against the Muslims.
4. The Results of Revolting Against the Leader.
5. We Have to Turn Back to Allāh.
6. Helping Our Brothers in Syria and Yemen.
7. Victory Is Guaranteed If We Turn to Allāh with Sincerity.
8. Impermissibility of Committing Suicide When Fearing Rape.
9. Attaining True Victory from Allāh.
~ An excerpt taken from the eBook ~
If any of us are too miserly to help our brothers with our wealth, the very least that we can do is supplicate for them. If we are able to help our brothers in Yemen and Syria or elsewhere whether it is financially, or helping them put some food in their mouths, we should do so. And if we cannot, then the very least that we can do is call upon Allāh(عز وجل) to rectify their situation.
We must also speak the truth and encourage the Muslims to exercise patience and seek the reward from Allāh, hoping for victory and relief. Allāh has only allowed these situations to occur because of some ḥikmah, that He alone knows. The Muslims in Makkah (before the ḥijrah) encountered similar hardships; the Muslims are also currently experiencing hardships and the believers shall continue to be tested until Allāh inherits this earth and everyone and everything on it.
