Shaykh Khalid AbdurRahmaan al-Misree (May Allaah preserve him) spoke about the importance of sticking to the Sunnah and the scholars of the Sunnah, especially the major scholars, those who are qualified to speak on the major affairs of the muslimeen. He also emphasized that we must guard ourselves from the people who attack the scholars, furthermore we have a right to accuse them of deviation in their deen when they speak ill of the likes of Shaykh Rabee' ibn Hadi al-Madkhalee, Shaykh 'Ubayd al-Jaabiree, Shaykh Saalih al-Fawzaan and others (May Allaah preserve them all). The noble shaykh mentioned the reward that was promised by the Messenger of Allaah (sallAllaahu 'alayhi wa sallam) for the ones holding on to the sunnah in these times, when being firm upon the sunnah makes one a stranger.

We ask Allaah to show us the haqq and make it easy for us to follow, and make the baatil clear to us and give us the strength to stay away from it.

Wa Billaahi Tawfeeq
