On Friday 2nd June, 2017 our Noble Shaykh Dr. 'Alī bin Yaḥya al-Ḥadādi (حفظه الله) delivered a LIVE Tele-Lecture entitled, “An Encouragment For Those Who Are Strange In The Lands of The West” with Muwahhideen Publications. After the Shaykh delivered his lecture, the brothers asked a very important and pertinent question regarding those from the laymen who abandon the Salafī Masjid in Ramaḍān and attend the masjid of the innovators because of certain amenities, like more elaborate food, reciters with beautiful recitations and bigger playgrounds for the children. The Shaykh gave a stern admonishment against this. He reminded us of the true meaning of tarawīḥ and the purpose of attending the night prayer to contemplate the Qur’ān. At the same time, the Shaykh advised the Salafīs to improve the condition of their masjid and to strive to make these amenities available to the people in shā Allāh
- "Your religion should be more precious to you than your stomach or your children’s recreation."
- "The point of praying tarawīḥ is to contemplate the recitation of the Qur’ān. You don’t need a beautiful voice, or a nice reciter to do so. Even if his voice is not nice, go to the Salafī Masjid, listen to the Salafī Imām, stand behind him in prayer, and contemplate what you can of the Qur’ān. Don’t go to the place where there’s a sufī imām who has a nice voice, beautifying his bid’ah to you, such that you begin to like his voice, you begin to like him, you begin to like listening to his classes and attending his khutab for Jumu’ah and the like, this is very dangerous for you."
- "...you should beware of it yourself and you should warn others against it."
