Question: What advice would you give to teenagers who have to fast and attend school. How are they to physically cope with the fast as well as how to avoid the fitnah they may encounter from peers?
Answer: Even though they are considered teenagers, they are without doubt on the verge of manhood, if they are not considered men in totality. If the early teens of 13 and 14 have not come of age, fasting is not compulsory upon them but we would not encourage the parents to encourage them not to fast lest they should fear for them.
