Video: Khutbah – A New Day, A New Chapter, Opened Correctly With Prayer and Supplication by Shaykh Hasan Somali

Bismillāh wa-Alḥamdulillāh wa al-Ṣalātu wa al-Salām ʿalá Rasūl Allāh ʿamma baʿd An extremely beneficial Khutbah delivered by our Shaykh Ḥasan Ṣomālī (حفظه الله) for Muwahhideen Publications’ December 2024 Seminar, entitled, “Islam is The Solution,” at Chaguanas Masjid, Trinidad. We ask Allāh to allow us to implement the what we have learned we have learned from this speech Wa Billāhi Tawfīq The following are the main points covered in this khutbah:

• Start your day productively with this duʿāʾ after Fajr:
• Fajr is al-miftāḥ al-yawm – the key to the day.
• People wonder why the ummah is in the state it is in.
• An explanation of beneficial knowledge.
• Beneficial knowledge instils submissiveness and humility towards Allāh.
• Implementing beneficial knowledge with our families is the way to change the Ummah
• Starting your day with asking for beneficial knowledge requires that you respect knowledge and respect the people that carry that knowledge.
• Asking for beneficial knowledge requires that you implement the means to seek knowledge.
• If something of misguidance happens to a family member down the road, who should we blame?
• The relationship between beneficial knowledge and a heart that is humble and submissive.
• An explanation of pure and lawful sustenance:
• Sustenance can be small but if done for Allāh, it will be blessed:
• Spending your blessed sustenance for Allāh is a protection from the hellfire.
• Every day is a new chapter in our book:
• Men and women have a role in the daʿwah of Allāh (سبحانه و تعالى).
• An explanation of actions that are accepted:
• Always be humble because acceptance of righteous deeds is never guaranteed.
• The first part of knowledge to be taken away will be submissiveness and humility.
• Knowledge of the heart and knowledge of the tongue
