Below Are The Beneficial Points Covered by The Shaykh:
Introduction – Who are the Shīʿa?
- The word Shīʿa in the Arabic language means ‘the followers.’
- The legislative definition of the word Shīʿa refers to those who see ʿAlī (رضى الله عنه) as above and beyond ʿUthmā
- The scholars say that the Shīʿa sect has differerd from time to time in various conditions, and therefore had different definitions during each time.
- It is hard to come up with a solid definition regarding the Shīʿa because the stages and characteristics of Shīʿsm has differed from time to time.
- The Shīʿa divided into many groups, but all return to three main groups.
- Al-Ismāʿiliyyah. These are the most wicked of the three groups.
- Al-Ithnā ʿAshariyyah or the 12 Imāms. Hezbollāh branched out from here.
- Al-Zaydiyyah. Ahl Al-Sunnah do not consider them to be outside the fold of Islām.
- Al-Ithnā ʿAshariyyah (The twelve Imāms) – this is a second main group of the Shīʿa.
- Mūsā Ṣadr came out of Iran in the second part of the last century, then moved to Lebanon and became a Lebanese citizen which at this time was very hard to achieve, but he had some ‘behind the doors’ help with this matter.
- This Mūsā Ṣadr started a group called ‘The Deprived’ – calling the people to be Shi’ī.
- Mūsā Ṣadr was later killed and until this present time the case is still open as to who killed him.
- The movement (of ‘Hope’) he founded before his death is now known as ‘Hizbullah’.
- The third main group of the Shīʿa is called Al-Zaydiyyah which has many sub-groups underneath it
The celebrations of the Shīʿa
- The definition of the word ‘Eid in Islām.
- ʿEid Baba Shujāʿ’i-Dīn – A celebration that praises the killer of ʿUmar Ibn Al-Khaṭṭāb (رضى الله عنه), Abu Lu’lu’ah Al-Majūsī – the fire worshiper.
- A true muslim would hate the one who killed ʿUmar Ibn Al- Khaṭṭāb (رضى الله عنه) and not glorify that person.
- The second celebration ʿEid Ghadīr Khum refers to a place far from the people that has water. Between Makkah and Madī
- ʿEid Ghadīr Khum is celebrated on the 18th day of Dhū Ḥ
- The Shīʿa prefer this day of celebration over the other two ʿEids that are known to the Muslims in the sunnah.
- The Shīʿa celebrate ʿEid Ghadīr Khum because they claim that the prophet (صلى الله عليه وسلم) advised that ʿAlī (رضى الله عنه) should take over after him and be a ruler and khalīfah of the Muslims.
- Iran tried to influence the Muslims by using satellite channels and TV shows.
- Syrian sitcoms (under the supervision of Iran) on TV channels tried to brainwash the Muslims and Arabs with the Shīʿa ideology.
The celebration of ʿĀshūrā’.
- There is a group that celebrates ʿĀshūrā’ by making food and sweets and show happiness called Al-Nāṣibah, who hate the household of the prophet (صلى الله عليه وسلم).
- The Shīʿa call the people of Sunnah Al-Nāṣibah.
- The people of sunnah and the Shīʿa agree on the hatred of those who celebrate the day Al-Ḥusayn ibn ʿAlī was killed.
- There were other companions who were better than Al-Ḥusayn ibn ʿAlī and were killed unjustly, such as his father. Why then are the Shīʿa not sad or celebrating the killing of ʿAlī Ibn Abī Ṭālib (رضى الله عنه).
