Bismillah wa -Alhamdulillah wa Salaatu wa Salaam ‘alaa Rasulillah ‘amma ba’d
On Saturday 13th April 2013, Muwahhideen Publications will host a LIVE tele-link lecture with Shaykh Muwafaq Hussein al-Jaboory (May Allah Preserve Him), who is from the mashaayikh of Iraq. The Shaykh is recommended by Ash-Shaykh ‘Ubayd al-Jaabiree (hafidhahullah), and is a student of Shaykh Abu ‘AbdulHaqq ‘AbdulLateef al-Kurdi who is a student of and recommended by Shaykh Rabee’ al-Madkhalee’ (hafidhahumullah) and will lecture to us regarding the levels of the people in times of fitnah. This event will be broadcast LIVE in Masjid Ibn ‘Abbaas, Tobago, two masaajid in Trinidad, Masjid ul Khaleefah and Masjid us Sunnah, and six masaajid in the U.S. Masjid Al-Bukhaari, Florida, Masjid Ibn ‘Abbas, Georgia, Masjid Uthaymeen, New Jersey, Masjid Nur Allaah, New York, Masjid as-Sahabah, Ohio and Masjid Tawheed, Michigan.
This lecture event will be translated LIVE into English In shaa Allah.
Abu Hurayrah (radhiyAllahu ‘anhu) narrated that the Messenger of Allah (sallAllahu ‘alayhi wa sallam) said,
“There shall soon be a Fitnah: the one who sits in that time is better than the one who stands, and the one who stands is better than the one who walks, and the one who walks is better than the one who hastens to it. And the closer you get to it, the closer it would get to you. Therefore, whoever is able to seek refuge in a shelter, let him do it.” [Bukhari #3602, Muslim #6886]
According to Shaykh Ibn Baaz (rahimahullah), “The temptations that are meant in this hadeeth are the ones that are vague and ambiguous, and the way of truth in them is unknown; rather it is mixed up. Such are the temptations which the believer is advised to abstain from and stay far away from it with whatever way necessary.”
So from the hadeeth we can see that in times of fitan the people are on different levels regarding their degree of involvement in the trials that are occurring.
Shaykh Muwafaq al-Jaboory (hafidhahullah) will enlighten us concerning the levels of the people in times of fitan and offer a comprehensive explanation regarding this affair according to the Book and the Sunnah upon the understanding of our Pious Predecessors.
We ask Allah to keep our feet firm upon the Straight Path and we seek refuge in Him from ever deviating from it.
